About The Plant Stand of Arizona

A Fresh Start

Our story actually begins in California, in 1981 at The Orange County Swap Meet. Eddie and Debbie Smith sold their first plants from a rented space at the Swap Meet that became known as The Plant Stand. As their reputation for having the finest, most vibrant, high-quality plants grew, the Smiths eventually moved operations to a large warehouse in Costa Mesa and expanded their business by adding wholesale services. In 1989, Eddie and Debbie were even recognized by the Orange County Register in a human-interest story.

In 1994, Eddie and Debbie made another big change when they sold their business in Costa Mesa and moved their growing family to Phoenix, where The Plant Stand of Arizona was created.

Plants, Pottery & Plenty of Space

The Plant Stand of Arizona has grown from Eddie and Debbie’s little business to a large family venture, with son Eddie Jr. and son-in-law David DeAngelis (and of course, Bentley the family dog) now part of the leadership.

Today, The Plant Stand of Arizona is one of the largest distributors of imported pottery, foliage, specialty and exotic plants, exterior palms, interior and exterior color, and cactus in the Western United States. Homeowners, architects and decorators are welcome to browse our 15-acre location, which features four temperature-controlled greenhouses and an incredible display of unique pots from all over the world. As a full-service business, The Plant Stand of Arizona can ship purchases of any size anywhere in the United States. We are also a supplier for many major retailers throughout the country.

Our love for colorful accents doesn’t stop at plants and pottery. Debbie adds her personal touch with The Little House Boutique, an adorable onsite shop filled with handpicked gifts, premium candles and décor pieces.

From outfitting your home to sprucing up your business, The Plant Stand of Arizona is here to help complement your style.
